The Board of Trustees consists of six Trustees elected from the membership of Unity Church of the Bay Area and our minister. Each elected Trustee holds office for three years. Two Trustees rotate off the Board every year, with their successors elected at our Annual Meeting, which is held on the second Sunday in October each year in accordance with our Church Bylaws.

Our Trustees are the stewards of our church, upholding the values, mission and vision of our spiritual community. Together they guide our church using the spiritual principles we teach in Unity. They prayerfully conduct the business of our church, always seeking the highest good for our members. Our Board members invite any questions and your ideas on how our church can serve you better.

The Board of Trustees meets the first Monday of every month at 6:00 p.m. All Board meetings are open to anyone who wishes to attend. The only stipulation is that you are an observer to the meeting, refraining from joining in the Board discussions. The only part of a Board meeting you may be asked to excuse yourself is if it concerns discussion over any employee of the church, as that is strict and confidential in accordance with state and federal laws. If you wish to address the Board about a proposal or any matter of business, please contact Paul Hoggatt, our Board President, at least a week in advance of the meeting to be added to the agenda.
